Can a Ketogenic Diet Have a Positive Effect in Newly Diagnosed Overweight T2DM Patients?

A study with 60 overweight or obese newly diagnosed T2DM patients was conducted to observe if a periodic ketogenic diet has a positive effect on their body weight, blood glucose and lipid levels. The patients were divided into KD group and control group.

 

 

The willingness to adhere to ketogenic diet over the long term was weaker than routine diets for T2DM
