Is There An Association Between Antidepressant Use and Advanced Diabetes Complications?

A nationwide study with 36,276 patients with depression and newly treated DM was conducted to check if there were any associations between antidepressant use and advanced diabetic complications and mortality.

 

 

Regular Antidepressant Use was Associated With Lower Risk of Advanced Diabetic Complications

DM: Diabetes Mellitus, SSRI: Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors, AD: Antidepressant.
